WEDDING BELLS ARE RINGING
It's a strange feeling having a wedding in the family. Especially when it it your very own child doing the wed--ing. It is strange because even though I am especially happy and filled with enthusiasm for the coming event and totally sure he picked absolutely the right girl, I feel a tiny bit upended because this little boy, my Kevin William, could not possibly have already grown into the type of wonderful, mature, funny, responsible, handsome ready to be married young man that he is right now and most certainly will be on May 15, the day of the wedding. I am extremely proud and not surprised that this tiny, somewhat cranky baby is totally ready to join in marriage with an equally wonderful and amazing young woman. I wonder, did I share all the knowledge and life skills he will need. Does he know how to iron a shirt and hang his pants the right way and be kind and share his heart? I already know the answer and the other good thing I already know is that there is always room for other good nuggets of knowledge--not that I would ever choose on purpose to be a meddler that way.... I love that Kevin and I love Milu and I can't wait for the big day and all the other big days that will be just the regular wonderful awesome days ahead.
