THERE'S A PARTY GOING ON!

It appears as if there has been nothing going on in the family since last May. This is not true. We finished up the wedding celebrations for Kevin and Milu by hosting a small cozy open house for some of Kevin's friends and many of ours. Asher turned two and Kelly turned 29. I remember when Kelly turned 4 Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Dick took us all on a trip on the skunk train. We improvised with cupcakes but Kelly was so sick he didn't even want one, he could barely blow out the candles. But tonsillitis was no foe because Grandpa Dick, or Dr. Gleason as he was otherwise known happened to always carry his black bag and Kelly was better in a jiffy. When I think back on the kind of person Kelly is kindness comes to mind. After all these years, he still feels bad about "accidentally" knocking Kevin off the top bunk. Also he is a deep thinker and when Kevin got old enough the two of them hatched a lot of great plans together. And now, he and Kevin gallantly check out Mitchell Brown who has asked Leanne to marry him, and she said yes. Eric and Blake know him a lot better and are sincerely for it. Ever since I knew this could be a possibility, I have been schitzophrenic: at once happy that she will marry a wonderful man and begin a new stage of life, and sad because that means she leaves home after on purpose making me very fond of having her around. The wedding is on December 18. From what I hear the reception will be a very fun party. Love and kisses to the affionced!

my mother! okay, really though. I have resolved to do better at the blog thing, especially since I've just learned of your permanent aversion to the video chat. (which, by the way, might be helped by some gadgets: this microphone headset, for example, that has a seven-foot cable plugged into a USB port, OR for the wireless option, use a BlueTooth USB adapter like this with any $40 earpiece!)

yup, life has been a lot. Milu and I are way excited for Leanne and the Mitchell. thank you for posting his last name so I can commission a proper investigation. we are tracking airfares now, but we'll probably buy soon as we don't expect holiday tickets to get cheaper over time.

I am going to post separately when I get home so I don't take up this entire page with my "comment." Love to all.

It really was an accident, and I should at that it was not even my accident, since the crazy kid jumped off the bunkbed of his own volition. All I did was provide calm and rational words in a futile attempt to "talk him down," then stare in horror as he plummeted.

Thanks for reviving the blog all y'all. And congrats on the new place, Kevin and Milu!

And also congrats on the impending wedding Leanne and Mitchell!

I am nearing my personal record on exclamation points! Hooray!!

ha... look who doesn't feel so sorry about it after all these years! jk I wouldn't put it past me to have done it willfully (but I'll never admit that to kelly).

Yeah, so this incident becomes more mysterious all the time. Its our mini Chappaquiddick... We may never really know what happened that fateful day.
Meanwhile, in the present we are seriously preparing for the party. There shall be food. There shall be family. There shall be dancing. And there shall be FUN. You are all so awesome and especiale to mi.
