TENDER MOMENT
Dad and I went to the temple the other day. It was a beautiful experience. We were doing some sealings. The sealer was a very nice man. He seemed to know everyone in our group, having some connection or other. So later as we were talking, Brother Porter says to me, "Where did you grow up?" and I said Phoenix. "What is your maiden name?" I said Stiteler. I never get a reaction to that. There are only a handful of us Stitelers out there. "Are you John's daughter?" No, Jerry's. He said, "I know your Dad! But I worked with John for 20 years!" I said, So you are the Bishop that was going to get my family into the temple for my wedding day! He said, "Yes, I was." I have always loved to tell that story of how my Uncle was going to pull some strings and get everyone into the Temple. Now, I have a face to go with it. He was so touched to meet me. Tears came to his eyes and he hugged me over and over. Wow. It sure felt good to be a Stiteler at that moment.
