So today I've been thinking a lot about sisters. I used to wish all the time that I could get a sister who would obviously be my very best friend and we would share clothes and never fight and hang out together on weekends. My hopes were kind of dashed when we lost Rachel, and then again when we got Blake (just kidding).
Today I am glad to have grown up with brothers. Getting married has been a pretty easy transition because of the lessons I learned from my brothers. And now, I get to have all the benefits of growing up the only girl, PLUS I keep getting new sisters all the time. It's interesting for a person to change from total stranger, to my brother's girlfriend, to friend, to sister.
SO! Today, on my only sister's birthday, I'm thankful for my brothers. And for my parent's of course. And really thankful for my new sisters and sisters to be.

I know that you and Rachel would have been great friends. And I know you would have fought a little too. It would have been awesome. The best part is knowing that we will be with her someday. I think about her often and wonder what should would have been like. I always conclude that she must be awesome. Happy Birthday to Rachel!
